>How does Laser Hair Removal work?
The laser emits a gentle beam of energy that passes through the skin to the hair follicle. The energy is transformed into heat, which damages the hair cell.
>How many treatments are needed?
Laser Hair Removal destroys the hair follicles and impairs the hair growth during its growth cycle. Not all hair follicles are active at the same time. Depending on the growth cycle of the follicles when the procedure is done, anywhere from 5-8 or more treatments may be required to obtain the desired effect.
-Is the treatment painful?
While discomfort varies from person to person, most find the treatment very tolerable. Cold air and ice packs are applied to add comfort. In some areas, a topical anesthetic can be applied.
-What can I expect following the treatment?
Once the session is complete, patients can resume normal activity. Most patients experience a slight redness around the hair follicles following treatment that typically goes away in a few ours. It is important to avoid sun exposure and use sun block immediately following the treatment. Hair may continue to grow for one to two weeks after the procedure, but will eventually fall out.

>How does Laser Vein Removal work?
Laser light is delivered through the skin and into the vein. After heating, the vein walls collapse and seal shut. The sealed vein is then broken down and absorbed by the body.
>Is the treatment painful?
Discomfort varies depending on the size and location of the vein. Many describe each laser pulse as feeling like a snap of a rubber band.
>What can I expect following each treatment?
In some cases, the treated region will be slightly swollen and tender to the touch for a day or two. A red mark, resembling a “cat scratchâ€, can sometimes persist for a few weeks. After treatment, we ask you to avoid heavy exercise and wear sunscreen. Compression hose should be worn for 48 hours after.
>How long do the treatments take?
Leg vein sessions can take about 30 minutes depending on the size of the treatment area. While some patients may be satisfied after just one treatment, two or more treatments may be needed to achieve desired results.
>How long do results last?
The appearance of existing veins will be diminished or completely eliminated. However, the development of new veins cannot be prevented. If your body has an underlying vascular problem, you may need additional treatments.

>How do Laser Peels work?
Laser energy removes the top most layer of skin. As the skin is regenerated, discoloration, wrinkles or other marks will be diminished or in many cases eliminated. The doctor can tailor the depth of the peel and recovery time to your individual needs by adjusting the laser power settings. Some patients choose to have fewer deep treatments with longer recovery times. Your individual needs should be discussed during your consultation.
>What skin conditions can be addressed?
Many facial conditions such as fine wrinkling around the eyelids, forehead, nose and mouth can be smoothed with the simple process. Deep laugh and frown lines can be minimized. Even lingering effects of chicken pox, acne scars and superficial pigmented lesions and other surface abnormalities can be successfully treated.
>What happens after the procedure?
Immediately after laser exposure the treated area may turn pink and swell slightly, almost like a sunburn. In the following days the outer layer of skin will flake off as new skin is generated underneath. In some cases slight redness may persist. It is important to limit sun exposure following treatment. Recovery times are directly related to depth of peel and your body’s healing process.

>What is a Laser FACIAL?
Laser FACIAL is a gentle laser treatment for wrinkles and sun damage. This no-downtime procedure is appropriate for the face but also for the chest, neck and hands. Anywhere that sun damage shows.
Laser FACIAL is a non-ablative, non invasive procedure; the surface of the skin is not damaged or removed. The gentle lasers correct pigmentation irregularities and encourage new collagen growth to smooth out existing facial wrinkles.
>What can I expect afterwards?
Following the treatment we recommend wearing a sun block daily. Make-up can be applied immediately after and you can resume normal activities. There may be some slight swelling or redness for a few hours, or on rare occasions, a few days. Darker pigments and freckles may get darker after the initial treatment and flake off in a few days. Because the lasers reduce wrinkles by encouraging new collagen growth, wrinkle improvement is gradual. At the time of your third treatment, nine to twelve weeks after your initial treatment, you may begin to notice a wrinkle improvement.
>How long do treatments take?
Laser FACIALS typically use two laser wavelengths in each treatment session. Each session takes about 30 minutes depending on the size of the treatment area. Depending on your skin type and condition, between 3 to 8 treatments might be necessary.

>What is acne?
Acne is a condition caused by skin cells that do not shed properly and plug pores, causing oil and bacteria to be trapped inside. As oil and bacteria accumulate, the skin becomes inflamed and swells outward forming whiteheads, blackheads and pimples.
>How do the treatments work?
Light is delivered through the skin’s surface triggering the body’s natural bacteria fighting defenses. These defenses kill the problem causing bacteria, significantly reducing the severity of current and future breakouts.
>Is it painful?
Many patients say each pulse feels like the snap of a rubber band, though treatments over active acne may be more uncomfortable. Cool air is blown over the face to minimize discomfort.
>What should I expect afterward?
Your face may appear slightly flushed and swollen, though these effects usually subside after a few hours or days. Sunscreen should be applied and, if you wish, make-up may be applied immediately after treatment, as the skin’s surface is not actually damaged by the laser.
>How long will the effects last?
Clinical data suggests that most patients find their acne will improve after the completion of about 4 to 6 treatments every week or every other week apart. While many patients continue to improve in the months following treatment, some patients experience a plateau in their improvement. Repeated treatments may be necessary to maintain results.
