Is it effective?

Yes, the technology is backed by world wide clinical research studies with proven results.

The most effective results have been achieved on fair skin and darker hair however, Red and Blonde hair can sometimes be treated using our Meladine Natural Enhancer treatment and Lumenis Diode laser. Type V & VI cannot currently by treated by our laser.

How many treatments are needed?

The laser only destroys hairs when they are in the growth phase. At any one moment 20% of hairs are resting or dormant. Repeated sessions will treat these hairs when they re-enter the growth phase. Generally all areas will require six to eight treatments.

This depends on many factors including your skin and hair type, ethnic background, hormonal balance and skin sensitivity. It is not possible to categorically state how many treatments an individual will need, however this will be discussed at your consultation.

Sunbathing will also negate any treatment and must be suspended while treating.

What parts of the body can be treated?

Laser can treat all external areas of the body and face except around the eye.

What does a treatment involve?

A gel is applied to the area to be treated. The laser hand-piece is placed gently against the skin and pulses of intense light are delivered into the hairs. At the time of the treatment some of the hairs are wiped off, however it can take up to four weeks for all the treated hairs to fall out. Please make sure you come shaved and also that you continue to shave between treatments.

What can I expect to pay for treatment?

You will need multiple treatments to complete an area and discounted packages are available, however we offer very competitive single treatment rates - so try before you buy! Maintenance prices are also offered at discounted rates. Please telephone us for the cost of the area you wish to have treated.
