Laser hair removal is a very safe and highly efficient way to remove unwanted hair from any part of the body. Treatments are usually given at intervals of 4-6 weeks, resulting in smooth, silky and hair-free skin. Results generally require an average of 6-8 treatments for each patient.

Hair grows in 3 cycles: Active, dormant and shedding stage. The laser works by emitting a pulsed light that is passed through the skin and absorbed by the pigment (dark color) in the hair. By absorbing this laser energy, the hair follicles become disabled, permanently impairing their ability to grow.

Unlike other laser clinics, Danik MedSpa can offer laser hair removal to anyone, including individuals with dark skin complexion. The reason why lasers are effective is because of the skin’s ability to absorb light. However, when skin is especially dark (Type V and VI), the concentrated amount of melanin tends to absorb more light than average, increasing the chance of burning, blistering or skin discoloration.
