The PROFILE laser selectively targets your hair follicles and heats them with infrared energy. The laser beam treats many hairs at once, making treatment of large areas practical. The computer sets the parameters and places the beam in an optimum pattern for your skin to ensure a safe, fast, effective and gentle treatment.

The PROFILE laser is very effective for lighter skin types and it is the best choice when treating darker skin types. All skin colors can be treated; Type I (very fair, always burns, never tans) to Type VI (dark skin, never burns). Additionally, the ability to safely treat sun-tanned skin makes this the treatment of choice for active individuals.

Dr Smith relocated to Pensacola where much of her family lives and opened Physician's Cosmetic & Laser Center in 2002. She has extensive laser training, specialized training and certification in many non-surgical cosmetic treatments, and is a member of the American Society of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery as well as the American Society of Bariatric Physicians.
