Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is an excellent option for men and women with unwanted hair and is the best therapy for men with “razor bumps.” Lasers are highly focused or coherent beams of light that target dark pigment in the hair follicle. Once the light is absorbed by the pigment the hair follicle the follicle is heated and destroyed. Patients with darker skin tones can de safely treated by lasers if done by experienced personnel utilizing the correct laser. Dr. Sullivan has extensive experience treating ethnic skin types and uses a laser system for ethnic skin types. Multiple laser treatments are required for permanent removal of the majority of all hair.
