Pulses of filtered light are directed onto the skin and absorbed by the hair follicles. Pulsed light systems are similar to laser, but with a larger, smooth beam, and a long pulse for safe, fast, and comfortable treatments work excellently on all skin types. Will the treatments hurt?

StarLux pulsed light systems use a unique long pulse width that delivers energy to the skin over a relatively long period of time. This makes the pulses safer and more comfortable. You may experience a feeling similar to that of a pinch on the back of your hand, but most people do not report this sensation as pain. There is no down-time or side effects with the exception of slight redness that may persist up to an hour maximum normally.

How many treatments are required?

Laser Hair Removal requires 5 to 6 treatments on average but varies per person. Winter Park Laser will be able to give you a better assessment after your complimentary consultation. You will love not shaving!
